Der 2012er THEMA Rotwein von Ktima Pavlidis ist heute vom LKW gefallen.

Hier schonmal zum anfixen:

Dunkel - violette Farbe. 

In der Nase ein intensives Bukett von Kirschen, Pflaumen und Schokolade, sogar ein leichter Hauch von Rauch und Vanille. 

Im Mund einfach nur geil!

Ausgewogene Tannine, mit einer lebhaften, samtigen Struktur. 

Das Finish lang und fruchtig, mit einer Idee von Eiche. 

Ein grossartiger Wein, mit viel Potenzial im Alter.

12 Monate im Eichenfass und noch weitere 8 - 10 Monate in der Flasche gelagert.

14% vol. Achtung, Mädels...ein charmanter Ladykilla!

Drama

Temperatures remained lower than usual during the winter months leading up to fruit set, which delayed the beginning of harvest. Fortunately, during the maturation period warm, dry conditions with normal temperatures and suitable rainfall helped balance grape ripening. 

Production will be 10% lower than the previous year, mostly a result of low temperatures and high rainfall during flowering. 

The quality of the grapes was good, although in a few plots some bunches were infected by botrytis and powdery mildew. 

This year's wines will, in general, have less alcohol, but crisp acidity and good aromatic character.
